Photography

I have always been intrigued by the unique patterns which occur routinely and rhythmically in nature. My fascination is with those subtle levels which exist within the flip and fold of a larger creation.  It is this fascination which led me to a career as a designer and an in depth study of organic form and the evolution of its growth.

My photography goes beyond the simple and mundane.  By viewing it on a different scale, from an unusual perspective, I have tried to capture a uniqueness which is rarely seen.

All photographs were taken with natural light.  No artificial illumination, studio shots, or color filters were used in any of this work.  The high contrast of full color saturation next to dark shadows is achieved through the use of an extremely short focal depth, very slow film speed, the interplay of sunlight and shadow, and the process of printing directly from positive film rather than negative film.
